Good design is about so much more than just how things look

So much of design nowadays values style (or technology) over substance, but I believe in building brands with style and substance. Good branding doesn’t follow trends just for the sake of it and won’t pigeon-hole you into one design style. Instead, we design from the inside out by starting at the heart of what you do, why you do it and building from there to ensure you’re appealing to the right people, in the right way.

Hi, I’m Maddy

I’m Maddy, a creative designer living and working in Norwich. I’ve been working in the industry for over 6 years and I’m passionate about helping businesses to connect to their brands’ spirit so we can show the world who they are through thoughtful and courageous branding.

I’ve worked across multiple industries such as health & wellbeing, FMCG, education and tech, and many more. I love to collaborate with other likeminded creatives to help bring projects to life and I believe that our best work is done when we put our heads together.

My business has evolved since it started in 2018, having been through pandemics and pregnancy, I now find myself here at the beginning of an exciting new adventure working with ambitious businesses that align with my own values and hopes for future generations.

My aim is to leave businesses in a better way than I found them, and I do this through meaningful branding and design.

I also have a D&AD Award and studied Graphic Design at Norwich University of the Arts (one of the Top universities in the UK for Graphic Design)

Creating idea-first identities

Idea-first, meaningful brand identities are what I love to create.

All good branding requires strategic thinking to elevate what you do and take it to the next level. This (necessary) step in the design process, takes your vision beyond the visuals.

A brand identity is about so much more than just a logo. A strong identity can help set you apart from the crowd and leaves a lasting impression.

My design checklist:

The impact of good design can be hard to measure, and not always feel that tangible. I believe for an identity to be successful, it needs to fulfil these four criteria.

Ownable (it is instantly and unmistakably you)

Accessible (to the right people, in the right way)

Thoughtful (like a human, not AI)

Impactful (Makes a tangible difference to your business)
